An Invitation to Learn Chinese with Pleco! by Heather Kaschmitter

My favorite language learning website is Pleco.

I like Pleco for a LOT of reasons!  It is a free flashcard app you can download to your phone.  It shows both the simplified Chinese characters as well as the pin yin (Romanized alphabet--looks like the English letters) so that it's easier for English speakers to learn.  If I met with someone who didn't speak English, they could write the Chinese letters on my touch screen:

Then it would show me the English so I knew what they were trying to say.  I could also learn proverbs and phrases as well as learning how to write the characters:

    I like that it would act as a translator in addition to flashcards. Does this work with other languages as well?

    it is a great app, i wish i could find smiler one to use it on my future education carrer
